As the new year has arrived we can take this time to reflect on our goals and how we want to move forward in the coming year. For creative women in business, setting goals can be an exciting opportunity to get organised, especially when it comes to creating new initiatives or launching a side hustle.

Here are some tips for goal setting that all creative women should keep in mind for 2023!

1. Set timelines that are realistic and work with your lifestyle. –

It’s important to set goals that are achievable within the given timeframe.  For example, if you want to publish a book in the next month, that’s great, but if you are working full time and managing a family, that might be a bit hard. Why not set a more realistic goal like 6 months or 12 months to complete it? Try starting small with short-term goals and work your way up from there. This will give you a sense of accomplishment as you reach each milestone. Make sure you break down each goal into smaller tasks, so they don’t seem overwhelming.

2. Prioritize what matters most – 

and remember that what is an important priority ( say education ) to one person might be completely different to someone’s ( say Travel ) Once you have YOUR  list of goals, prioritize which ones need to be addressed first and create a timeline for achieving them. This will help you stay focused on what is most important and make sure nothing gets overlooked in the process. Don’t forget that changing course is okay if something isn’t working out as planned!

3. Track progress –

Tracking your progress is a great way to stay motivated while gauging success over time. Like how a daily step goal keeps you motivated, it’s important to regularly reflect on your goals to stay on track. Keeping track of successes and failures can provide valuable insight into what works and what doesn’t so that you can adjust accordingly moving forward. A written record is also helpful if you need to refer back at any point for motivation or guidance!

Goal setting is an essential part of staying organized as a creative woman in business. By following these tips, you’ll ensure that your plans are achievable, prioritized, and tracked appropriately throughout 2023!
